We are used to visiting ancient sites and structures and perhaps being in awe of what we see. In the book , The Archaeology of Shamanism, a section leaped out at me. Of course, we need to examine these places with ALL of our senses and to think of the ways in which, for example, people would have heard rituals, rhythm and chanting. It gives a completely different perspective if we examine not only what noises the humans may have made, but the ‘infrasound’ vibrations which involve the very structures themselves.
